Seventh charged in Rhys inquiry

A 20-year-old man arrested on Wednesday morning in connection with the Rhys Jones murder investigation has been charged with assisting an offender.
James Yates is the seventh person to be charged. Six others, including a 17-year-old charged with the murder, appeared in court on Thursday.
They have been remanded in custody until 25 April. Mr Yates will appear before magistrates in Liverpool later.
The 11-year-old was shot dead in Croxteth Park in August.
One of the 16-year-olds is also charged with being in possession of a revolver, ammunition and a replica 8mm pistol.
All the teenage defendants and the 20-year-old are from Croxteth.
