A British tourist has drowned while swimming at a popular tourist spot in the Philippines.
Richard Kidd, from Gateshead, was visiting Bataan's Dunsulan Falls when he was swept away by a strong current.
The 56-year-old was visiting the waterfall with his British girlfriend and her father, who are residents of Bataan, the Foreign Office said.
Police said Mr Kidd, an artist, was in the country to paint a luxury ship when he died on Saturday.
He was swept away as he swam alone below the waterfall, which was swollen from rains.
